Not sure I would mill it, if I offered that to the millers I sell too they would laugh. Bowl blanks as mentioned earlier would be more my thinking.

 

OK how do I make bowl blanks? Are they not milled?

Should I leave it to season, should I paint the ends?

Then what?

As far as I'm aware up ending is only need for summer felled sycamore and once the sap has stopped running out they should be stacked in the normal fashion.

 

That makes sense...

 

Down here in sub tropical Devon this year the sap was only down for a couple of months or so!

 

But climates vary. :biggrin:
