I'm sure there have been threads in the past on "strange things you've found in trees" but after today I felt compelled to start one purely about "strange things you've found amongst epicormic/basal/whatever you like to call it"

 

Anyone lucky enough to find themselves removing endless rows of epicormic will be all too familiar with the standard half empty beer cans & sweet wrappers etc, but what's the most interesting/ bizarre thing you've come across?

 

I'll start it off with today's findings - a purple ball and a rubber car mat :confused1:

 

Incidentally, in the same area a sevenish year old girl "flipped me the bird" so to speak, to give you an idea of the kinda places we end up epicormicing :sneaky2:

I found a rubber jonny about 5m up an oak on a country lane. Either a good throw or some pretty acrobatic amorising!

 

ha lol aye just about spat my tea out my boss found a french letter too in a hedge he put the trimmers right through it real nasty :scared1:

 

 

iv'e found balls,all the rubbish of the day, also my boss found an old metal bt connector about 20ft up a beech with the 066 he was ow so chuffed lol.
