OK thanks. Shame bout p2g. They seemed a good price with TNT at 13.78

Jon, that may be an option, I'll ask Ian.

Thanks all

Parcel2go are a broker like so many out there, they simply get volume prices from companies like TNT, DHL, yodel etc and then offer these out to the punters.......thats us!

You are really using TNT in your case so if TNT are half decent then it should be OK:blushing::lol:

you are correct spud, sadly i fell for the p2go prices and it took weeks for the insurance claim to be sorted out, and boy do they try to wriggle out.

i now have better plan when sending by any courier,

photo of object in good condition

photo of all packaging used

photo of how its packaged

photo of address label secured to package

try to find item valuation before sending

then skip broker and go to courier directly

Last night I tried to send Ian a plank of yew.

Myhermes turned up in a metro car which obviously isn't going to get an 84" bit of wood in. I asked about a van collection but was declined due to excessive dimensions.

I've looked at parcel force but they want £38, ipostparcels won't take it either.

Who or how do you send timber?

Thanks

You should of strapped it to his roof
