How many of you on hear have been pulled over by VOSER?

 

Me too.

 

I was under weight , had road tent and MOT. They gave me a full check and weighed every axle including the chipper axle. They found one problem, an underinflated tyre on the inner wheel of a twin wheel. The van was off the road and had to get a new MOT presented at the copshop before I could go on the road again. I think I got off lightly.

 

( PS the inspection centre is 5 miles from home on a busy junction of the A31, I avoid it like the plague but hundreds of waggons get tugged yearly there)

several times impounded once wrong number plate on trailor once lights out most times and overloaded once even though vehicle empty dont put hiabs on 7.5tonners as often overload front axle we had to get shut of ours and upgrade to a 17tonner which is impossible to overload IMO tree surgeons are the worst offenders at overloading

I'd agree but the tempetation to throw on just a few extra rings so you can finish the job that night is often a strong motivator. I bet we've all done it.

 

Generally i'll only go back if i haven't room for the last of the waste.

seriously,I always refer to the stuff we move from site as arisings on quotes and invoices ect.That way your not puting them in any kind of category for some bureaucrat to say you need a permit ect.

I agree i do call it green waste on my quotes though in case some muppet say ' you didn't take that pile of bricks' from under the tree lol

lol,by calling them arisings you also make it clears your only removing what "arises" from your work and not all the other crap on site.
