I would get at a Bandit 75 if I was looking for something over 750kg.

 

Not tracked though...Did you take all that timber off us from John Deere in Nottingham?

I tried one and wasn't impressed at all,I thought it was slow and the rollers kept jamming with bits of wood. Just my opinion.

Nah, if I was buying again it would be either an 8" Forst or a GM 190 arborist . Wolf are ok but there tinny.

I bought a Schliesing 235 in 1990 and used every day it hasn't broken down once except one starter motor and a couple of batteries. Starts every time. I have just bought a tracked 235. It's unbelievably good. More expensive than the opposition but worth every penny and will go on forever (I hope).

We have an ST6, its a very good chipper, Well built and aggressive for a 6" machine..

 

I have never liked the TW's but they seem to have a big following...

I find it a very easy machine to live with service wise and my lads like using it. The infeed is great.

Just interesting to see if a tr8 is too big for domestic stuff.

Whats these Forst chippers like? they have been out a while now and i have heard nothing but praise, mainly the tr6 & tr8. they look similar to the Timberwolf 190 tftr, i know Timberwolf is around 30k whats the forst cost new?
