Sounds like the tree officer got a back hander to me, Seems odd they said yes to the trees being taken down and then forgot to tell anyone else about the re-plant and THEN left their position at the council, Brown envelope full of cash if you ask me!!

Quite shocking- but not the worst I've heard, would like to see the paperwork on that one-If I had been the TO there, I'd have told the film company to F off,

"You are forgetting this is Britain! where we reward irresponsibility!! ..."

Eh...We get to vote here tomorrow; speaking of irresponsible.....I promised myself some years ago never to forgo my vote again....but not voting is the only thing I can bring myself to do!

Now that is a bit poor:thumbdown:

To make a mock train station! Why not use a real one?

Besides with the stuff they can do with cgi these days you would think that unnecessary.

Sure... T.O worth his salt will have hopefully identified areas within his patch as suitable for planting with trees. I would have tried broker a deal with the film makers for a handsome payment as recompense.....( for trees of course:sneaky2:)

I think i may have just got home from the first half of this job, all the work we did today was totally justifiable, we removed three heavily leaning ash stems (one with an inch thick crack all the way through at 10m) from over the highway and lifted the rest of the boundry trees over the road to 5-6m depending on there size, I am pro tree also and had no issues with todays spec!
