Still looking for the answer - where do you get your company advice from? It seems 'not' from people like me I am thinking - but am I wrong? Who gets good business advice around here:thumbup1:? Who pays for bad advice 'because they have to'?:confused1:

Again,

Competent, not trained. Totally different things.

Competent in our legislation says " having the appropriate knowledge, skill and experience to carry their assigned task"

As for discouraging thinking, most H&S legislation I have read is based on the premise of "correct planning and resourcing of work" ergo thinking it the lack of employee thinking that causes problems.............

Common sense is not common practice.............

As for the question "where do I get my H&S advice? well that would be myself..............

The H&S thing is bollocks! On Monday I fitted a pump on a food production plant.... Rush job:001_rolleyes:..... They didn't want to have to tanker the waste away. I got there, got them up and running, no work permit required ( funny how H&S goes out the window when things are tits up)all good.:thumbup1:

Today, we've been kicked off site for not having the work permit signed off.

Glad I'm changing things.

Knock those who work in Service industries and call 'em parasites, and you risk insulting a large chunk of the users of this forum IMO.

Wow, wasn't aware I'd actually done that.

Perhaps you'd be good enough to show me where I actually did.
