i generally run a flat file over all 3 edges, however i think im right in saying you're only supposed to file the outside 2 edges?? could someone put me right on this, and if possible explain why? i never seem to get a great edge like this so run a file over the inside a few times.

thanks

i worked for a guy that used the diamond type, holy moly, what a difference, we used to tickle the chipper blades with it aswell and it made a diference, maybe that would get them sharper, i only ever tried sharpening once when i first started climbing but never bothered after that..

i bought a sharping kit for spikes with instructions. Ordered it from u.s.

Says do the inside only. use a flat file first then touch up with sharpening stone.

Spend 1 hrdoin i the other week. razor sharp now.

Kit costs around £20

We can get sharpening kits for £25.00 never sold one so don't have any feedback.
