Worth knowing, We've got a couple of 200t to send to him as soon as I get round to it for him to work his magic on!

 

Assuming the 362 has good compression, they do well. This is with just an MM and conservative timing advance:

I haven't done an MTronic one yet, so couldn't tell you how they respond. But the 261cm becomes quite angry after just a muffler mod.

Yeah Joe, take the lid off yours and look inside, I think you will find the ports have been opened up a tad:sneaky2::001_rolleyes::lol::001_tt2:

Ha it's certainly a beast! It was pulling 190 when you did it, I think, I'd be interested to see if it's gone up any now the pistons well and truly bedded in. I'll send it your way at some point for a check up on the carb, since my little 211 has been misbehaving anyway. Hopefully it's shagged and I'll have an excuse for the Mrs to get a new one.

I found you need to blip the throttle to let the saw clear its throat before cutting all the time, don't think Stihls auto tune is as precise as huskys'. Not that much cheaper than a 550 and hardly any weight difference and noticeably less grunt. I know it's a 5cc less saw, but in my mind it's worth spending that little extra.

 

The earlier versions of the 241 have terrible bog/lag issues. Mine does as well, even modified. I find I have to lay it on it's side to get rid of the bog, so it may be due to some type of pooling. Mebbe Spud can figger.

Just done yet another MS200, pulls 190psi and feels like it should be good - not bad considering what condition it came in!

 

Sounds good to me. I'll send those two off to you once I've boxed them up. One of the guys who has a unit in our yard also has one to be looked at so there will probably be 3 in total

Yeah does look like its cutting stronger, although I don't use the 362 as we still have an old 341 so I always grab that!

I believe it's due to the strato, the fuel pools just by the L jet, so shifting to WOT the first charge is super-rich
