Good stuff Ben. Always nice when you can take over from a lesser mortal!

 

Question for you, there was a big piece that you chained near the middle and when it broke off the butt end seemed to swing a bit toward your position.

 

I would have thought that tying/chaining a piece like that near the top would be more controlled. Or was what you did intentional?

 

Bear in mind I have little to no knowledge of crane dismantling so it's just a question, not a critique.

nah you are reading it correctly sir - the chains needed to be a bit higher and I was over ruled by the crane op on that one .

only thing going my way was the positioning of the chains and the quick reflexes of the crane op once the piece separated in getting it away from me.

a little bit poopy moment to remind every one about the balance of a load and not one I care to repeat.
