I had a sanderson 2.5 tonne machine about 12 years ago. I gave it an easy life but the chassis snapped in half which apparently was common so we spent several hours welding it up. A few months later the king pin on the rear axle snapped and the whole lot fell into a hedge tree. It was recovered and taken for scrap. I have had a jcb 525 for ten years and been good as gold.

Have been looking for a teleporter saw some Sandersons but they didn't compare well with the Manitou 626 that I ended up with.

Well worth waiting and keep looking! You don't have to spend a fortune to get a nice clean machine. Also may be better to find a machine with Perkins rather than the Ford engine, IMO!

finding a good owt snd hand is a lottery.found an aberlutes mint sanderson 725 on solo controls,BUT engine had issues,just watcting a few @' the mo.manitou,merlo,jcb,matbro

yes ,ford engine. had it been a perker would have gone for it

Its only the early ford engines that were prone to going porous if its got the x block it will be ok.

Is telescopic handling a must? I got a old Coventry Climax 4x4 masted forklift for a third the price of an equivalent age/condition telehandler.
