We get these from time to time. If it's a straight run through the house it's not much different to dragging out through a side passage in reality. We tell the customer to tape cardboard everywhere. We explain that we will do our best to be careful but the risk is theirs. Sheets on the floor are a waste of time, they just get kicked up. Cardboard is the best solution taped down. We keep the brash as big as possible and just pull it through. Providing they have done a good job with the tape it isn't a problem.

Did one in Kensington while the house was being renovated. Couldn't even park so everything got sawn up in a skip.

The job was poorly planned because the painters were in the same day; scenes from the Karate Kid, paint on - paint off.

Agree with the cardboard and we've used the long heavy duty plastic carpet protectors too. It's amusing dragging through someones kitchen while they're preparing and eating breakfast.
