They're a total sell out much more interested in a socialist/liberal agenda than true environmental protection. I wonder how many of their "members" know what they actually stand for or more to the point how many would support them if they promoted policies which would genuinely help protect the environment.

The fact is that to help preserve the planet would require such a change of lifestyle for such a large percentage of the population never mind it's effect on "world trade" that it's just not going to happen.

Which is why the principle of mankind surviving on this planet is ultimately doomed.

Trouble is; Business as usual isn't working very well (apart from for a small percentage of incredibly rich people at the top). I see we have everything to gain by trying an alternative to what we currently have in place.... or to at minimum to vote for more greener voices in parliament.

From what I've seen/ read I wouldn't say the environmental aspects have been forgotten in the Green Party.... but the social aspects are entwined with environmental damage so part of the solution has to be to look at the whole picture.

Well intentioned but ultimately the impossible dream of comfortable middle class hippies and career anarchists.

The very policies that would be required to truly create a 'sustainable' existence of humankind on this planet would be so abhorrent to the hemp sandalled, horse hair jumpered, bearded, yoghurt eater as to make their dreadlocks curl!

Peace &

Does that include people that have voted for other main stream parties for years & years and recently jumped ship to the Greens?

Best not to pigeonhole.

I think the policies required to make a sustainable future possible on this planet would actually be pretty abhorrent to any of us. Which is why we continue to make a mess of things. None of us want to change really.

The three central parties are only interested in smoothing passage for big business, why not try something different. Don't think they can be any worse.
