in the market for a kombi type tool... Which one?

It's just not as good as a dedicated bit of kit. It's Ok at everything, but when I pick up a long reach saw, it's better.

I pick up a long reach hedge cutter, it's better.

It was a great buy for someone just starting out, but I will never go back.

Stihl Kombi's are hard to beat..

 

I've had the km100 and now the km130 and the backpack one.. A carbon extension pole pruner and hedge cutter there's not much you can't tackle

 

I've had about five years out of my original set, bearings in the hedge head are now noisy but still working fine 👍

If your getting on a bit like me you will need at least three shredded wheat when using the carbon extension

Exactly a 4 mix unit is like £450 a FS-94 is £310 for a strimmer. Also a FS-94 weighs 4.5kg and a 4 MIX weighs 5.5kg. For me that is over priced and very over weighted. I have owned 3 4 MIX combis they all had same trouble, Heavy, Hard to start, Bent Valves, Leaky Breathers, Rough rev range peak revs to low, High vibes and Makes stupid noise. I thought I might be biast but after going back to a 2 stroke I can see just how bad they are.
