cricket memorial bench

Got asked by a friend to make a memorial bench for her brother who passed away at the early age of 43, he was a big cricket fan and played for local club,she wanted something a little different, so made this up, all the timber came from various arbtalkers, the bat was cedar,and the ball and stand wellingtonia, the ball was 2ft round and my first bit of turning on my new lathe.(quite daunting)

The vb should serve you well had a look at a vb when I was upgrading but decides it was to big and not practical

thanks for comments,,,,the vb lathe is just there for the big stuff, euro 2000 for all day to day stuff,,,,(steve - did this just before xmas,should be over in next week or so,,)
