Large saw

Hello all. First time on this forum and not sure if this post should be on here or elsewhere so please advise if it belongs on another forum.

I sold up some time ago but still keep my hand in at trees and other work with mate who has plant hire co.

I need a large saw for trimming some large butts and was looking at hiring in a large saw but largest I have found is 20 inch.

Does any one know of any hire company offering 30 inch or larger?

Obviously I cannot justify the expense of a new saw for a couple of weeks work if that. Sso failing the hire in route has any one an old large saw body perhaps needing work or needing bar and chain. If you have something lurking in the depths of your store that might fit the bill pleae PM me. It doesn't need to be pretty.

Edit: This is to buy.

Thanks

Steve

Can't help you personally I'm afraid. But you could try putting this post in the chainsaw forum too...

Chainsaws - Arbtalk.co.uk | Discussion Forum for Arborists

Hi Sandpiper - yes I was thinking of that but some forums have a thing about crossposting between forums so I thought that most people would check into General Chat for a quick looksee.

Hi Jon - Thanks for replying. I'm OK for saws up to 20" but some of these butts have massive unions which will need sorting with 30" or even 36"

I'm amazed at peoples' generosity on this forum offering their saws to a newbie here. I may be buying an old saw elsewhere but if that falls through them I will certainly take up an offer.

Stubby, where are you?

Thanks all
