toughest trousers for tree work?

I'm wearing both, the planners for climbing as they are a lot more cooler, comfy and better movement for the job and the engelbertstrauss for ground work as you don't really have to move your legs over your head and being cheap it does not bother me getting them covered in spruce and pine sap so much when felling.

Both my pairs are in red as tree quip says you won't wear them as much ,you find you get all comfy in the Grey pfanners and they last 6 months as you end up living in them for down the pub after work and any out door activity at the weekend or evening.

are the planners your using the gladiator vent ones? i've been reading that the normal gladiators can get really hot!

I found sip freedoms good for rough work. I use sip progress for climbing. As I gain experience I find I'm not so hard on my gear. First six months I tore my trousers to shreds. 12 months they were shredded. My second pair are fairing a lot better as I am more on my feet in the tree..
