toughest trousers for tree work?

Hey all! I'm in the market for some chainsaw trousers and was wondering what you all regard as the best in terms of comfort/durability/breathability (as i am one sweaty mofo). not too worried about price as all the top end ones are about 240 after VAT.

I've got my eye on the pfanner gladiators with type A protection.

to put this into perspective I'm currently using Oregon Yukon type C's - pretty cheap and a massive step up from the Sip Boxers i had before them in terms of cut and comfort.

thinking of keeping the oregons for crawling across the top of connie hedges as this seems to be the main wrecker of trousers... anyone else do this??

ta!

forgot to say that i would obviously buy the pfanners in RED

The pfanners are a good choice, I rate them for durability.

The red ones last even longer, small children will stop and stare at the tit in red pants, all your mates will take the piss and your social media will become a place of ridicule.

This means you wont go out in them in daylight so they last loads longer:laugh1:

Especially when you complete the outfit with the jacket, helmet and boots. :)

I'm wearing both, the planners for climbing as they are a lot more cooler, comfy and better movement for the job and the engelbertstrauss for ground work as you don't really have to move your legs over your head and being cheap it does not bother me getting them covered in spruce and pine sap so much when felling.

Both my pairs are in red as tree quip says you won't wear them as much ,you find you get all comfy in the Grey pfanners and they last 6 months as you end up living in them for down the pub after work and any out door activity at the weekend or evening.
