Sorry to sound like an idiot but how do the candles work

A Swedish/Norwegian/Finnish/Canadian/Cockfosters Candle is simply a seasoned log ripped down most of its length into 4 or 6 wedges. Stuff some birch bark or a firelighter in the top and apply fire.

The candle burns down and from the inside out. Great for parties, you can cook on them too:thumbup:

I suspect Mr. Bren is an authority on the subject.

I don't know which Greek wrote the proverb but I recognize a Rush lyric

They give off great heat through the slits and star on the top and they are very pleasing to the eye.

 

They also produce very little ash and if there's anything left in the morning. The remaining base can be chucked on the fire/in the stove and nothing gets wasted. Great focal point for sharing a few cans around.

No blog or website I'm afraid. I'll endevour to post some more pictures in the new year, so long as you don't mind images of me moving sticks from one place to another which is what I do the majority of the time:thumbup:
