Retrievable tie in point SRT

Apart from the obvious, running bowline, how do you guys tie into the top of the tree for an Srt top anchor? if this has already been covered I apologise. Thanks

Either tie an Alpine Butterfly then link it to your side of the rope with an oval Mallion or some guys link it with a Pinto pulley for less friction if you've descended a different route.

Base anchor best for SRT I don't know of anyone who sets anchor point at top of tree:confused1:

Not at all Adam. I've worked on one for a full day and it's never moved under load nor letting slack in the system. I like it mate. Simple quick no nonsense

I'm sure lots of people use a similar method when decending a pole in drt, except i clip a crab directly into the alpine butterfly and the running leg through the crab.

My question is why bother with the pinto pulley in srt?
