A note from local press.

Will East Devon's beavers be saved from going to the zoo? Petitions have been launched urging ministers not to remove a family of wild beavers.

On the River Otter I understand.

I think they were released without permission.

They are living about a mile upstream from my house. Apparently they had 3 kittens in the summer.

I would love to see them, but refrain from going to look for them. They deserve to be left in peace in my opinion.

No doubt they will pay us a visit in good time. I have a couple of trees blocking the view which could do with coming down.

Must have been past your place.

I did all the rights of way clearance in Ottery St.Mary this summer. Nice parish to work in and I met some great people. Including one of the local farmers, who I had good chat about the Beavers with. He seemed all in favour of keeping them. Mind you, he does have a camp site, so I suppose they are only going to help business.

BTW, Love that weir in the town, and the clouds of Sand Martins over the river.

Strip him of his 'Sir' title would be a good start.....

And a £1000 to shoot a Beaver??

Wave a 'cheap' golden carrot, and 'cheap' labour will apply.....
