went and priced a job the other day.

 

There was 1 big dead ash tree. It has dropped a large limb on private hospital roof. Anyways this tree has been tagged over a year ago to be removed and they had just left it. The tree is right next to a school and ready to fall over and day. there is no way to get cherry picker in. No way of getting crane in...and the only way to remove it is from ash tree that next to it which shall be very interesting Anyway what really annoyed me is when i turned up to price it..the there were biulders there and they had dumped all there cement all around the base of the the live trees. I gave them all a good mouthfull explaining that you can't do that..but the costumer wasn't even interested..even though it is a conservation area!

 

I gave them a crazy high price just because i was pissed off..told them it was real complex removal and if they looked after there trees none of this would have happened.

 

they need to hand out high fines for this.

 

Think i will will just go call council and see what they have to say.

Hope you get it-builders are a right arse on tree sites -so they had an on-site costumer? Would you be able to do the work as a 16th century Venetian Merchant ? That'd be a laff- hopefully you'll be lafing more with a fat bundle in yr back pocket

we're working at a site at the moment in a conservation area, name gives it away-'the old arboretum' some really nice trees inc an old mulberry which has fallen appart and continued growing, only about 15-20ft tall but a spread of about 20-25ft the builders were going to chuck all their waste on it and burn it!

Dont you love working on trees that have been "buildered". my favourite is when using diggers they have directly tampered with the root system, especially on leaning trees. good times
