My old iPhone is now faster than my new iPad, because there's not enough space on phone to download update.😳

You could try downloading the update to your pc and then to your phone using iTunes.

Can't believe nobody has mentioned this method.

True. Updating via iTunes requires less memory on phone/tablet, since it doesn't have to store the download itself.

 

Connect the device to the PC, open iTunes, select the phone and choose to update iOS. Google for exact guidelines, as it depends on iTunes version. (I have a MacBook Air, so I'm not much use)

When I first tried to update mine it said there wasn't enough space for the download.

I searched on Google and apparently if you use iTunes on your desktop you can download the update to there and then plug into your desktop to do the update on your device.

Just thought i would let you in on this secret method that never gets mentioned.
