Just wondering two things (Domestic setting btw)

Will an fs130 (38-40cc) have the berries for this attachment

Does anyone who runs a shredder, run it with the universal guard?

Thanks.

Your 130 will have the grunt.

However the downfall is the 130 is a bit all or nothing and doesn't like half throttle a great deal so you may have to try find a bit of a sweet spot in the throttle range and speed you work.

I bough one with my new brushcutter, but the hole was the wrong size, (cant remeber the model atm)

sorry not to answer your original question

Can't remember quite how to do it, but the above will be your problem. I got round it if I remember right by flipping the plate thingy that covers the head over. Might have been a spacer washer involved.

Hope this helps. An FS130 runs it OK but as said can bog down quickly.

ive seen and done a lot of mulching with a brushcutter over the years... have yet to see an actual shredder guard in the flesh tho

I use my shredder knife with guard all the time. The potential for a lot of pain via flying debris when using a mulching blade to mulch top down with just a normal guard is quite high.

Worth the money IMHO, and pretty much compulsory if employees will be using it.

meh, the odd stone to the shins just briefly interrupts the monotony.

i dont find the shredder blades too bad with debris tbh. tends to throw stuff downwards more so than a flat blade or string head. string head has a`miraculous knack of directing all debris directly toward my eyeballs.
