Is theft getting more high tech?

Recently a local guy (a known thief) got himself one of those parachute with an engine on the back thingies and can now be seen flying around the local villages, presumably it's a good way of scoping out the layout of peoples properties.

Then last night I was outside getting some wood for the fire and heard a strange whirring noise. When I looked up I could just make out one of those 4 prop drones with a camera suspended underneath it (presumably IR). I followed it round the village for a bit and then it flew up the road to two guys with (surprise, surprise) a high top transit parked up on a beet pad. Told me (in charming irish accents) they had brought it for Christmas for one of their sons. I told them bollocks and that if I saw it again it would get a load of no 6.

It really does seem to be getting very tough to keep your stuff safe.
