You sir are a genius

Why didn't I think of that :banghead:

Even if it's just to lift it up to get restraints cables/chain/strap type things on to hold it for transport,

Might get some slightly longer arms yet so the top link is at a better angle but need to sort the holding cables 1st.

Glad to be of assistance mate:001_smile:. Al you need is a eye to clip your hook in jobs a gooden :thumbup1:

I think I am gonna buy this 16-20 ton log splitter to run off my RB, the Ebay seller says that it needs a flow rate of 30 litres per minute and a min PSI of 2300 - 2500.

16 - 20 TON HEAVY DUTY TRACTOR MOUNTED HYDRAULIC LOG SPLITTER | eBay

Can anyone tell me if the RB's hydraulics are deffo up to spec for this?

I already have a three point linkage on the back of my RB and am adding some extra pipes reach to the rear of the truck so hoping this will just be a case of bolt on, link up and start splitting!!

It'll do it but you will have to alter the blow out on the winch or fit a 2nd circuit, also worth looking at fitting a small oil cooler into the system somewhere as I've found after about 20min the oil can get very hot due to the tank only being small.

Why not spend a bit more and look at the 1 from Rico like mine then you have a recognized make with some comeback also that 1 has a very small footplate that will drive you mad.

Get some picks up when you do it.

Different vehicle - but I have hydraulics on my defender 130, 1x circuit at the front & another at the rear. Can run a hydraulics log splitter of it quite easily.

Hi HERTS I've a mate that runs some very fast winch on his off roader comp truck runs a log splitter easy but takes 50hp out of the e Engine to that how large the pump is thanks Jon

Hi Grey git, I have just put a winch back on the front of my RB and also got that log splitter for the linkage on the back.

From your post I assumed that the winch had it own blow our valve on it so just T'd the pipes off the control unit - quick release pipes front and pipes back.

Now though the tractor fitter says that the spool valve (blow out) is on that unit itself (controlled by the lever in the cab and therefore I would have to re-set the valve each time I use each machine otherwise the winch will be under too much pressure as the splitter needs 2,300 -2,500 PSI.

This is my fault for not understanding how the system works properly before getting the work done etc.. but just to check, you did mean the blow out valve on the control unit? and therefore there isn't one on the winch itself?
