Nice one. Those heli pilots are pretty good.

Shame we have tighter lifting limits in this country. Only one tonne as opposed to two on the continent. It does limit the usefulness of heli extraction.

We have a company just round the corner from us that does this type of lifting. We had CAA approval for an extraction in North Oxford but the weight limit tipped it over the edge on pricing. Ended up with the wheel barrow option as posted earlier

we were also "limited" to one tonne but the customers emphasiss on zero impact and the fact that we could use the helicopter to fly up stones and cement for the customers renovation was the reason we managed to do it this way in the end. 2 birds with one stone. @mark , I'm looking forward to that video mate:thumbup1:

i had pre slung the whole tree but the wood was much heavier then anticipated so we furiously were re slinging on the way down also. that top was in at 800 kgs and it took just over an hour of flight time i think.

the travel time to a nearby field was around 30 seconds so the fact that the helicopter was also bringing up supplies for a landscaping company gave us a little room to breath.
