Hi I've got an old stihl 028 av its got made in west Germany stamped on it, got an 18inch Oregon bar with replaceable tip must been on there 20 years and the paint is only just rubbing off. Chain is about 3/4 worn, been sat in garage 6 months started 4th pull on old fuel, runs really well just put it through some 20 inch wood, idles fine and picks up straight away, had the av mounts done last year. How much would you think was worth I've got quite a collection of newer saws I just don't need or use it anymore?

Hope you did not continue to run it on the old fuel could damage the pot and piston . Not worth so much then

£70 - £120, this time of year there are many log burner warriors on ebay who have no idea which model is what so you may get lucky if you do a nice listing with perhaps a vid of it working!

If it says stihl on it it'll sell for good money on ebay I'm always seeing ms170's/180's sell for the £140-170 mark which I find crazy
