We hire a Bandit chipper, i think its a 85x??? its about 1.5 tons, yellow, takes 8" logs??? in truth 5-6" and hates conifer greenery.

Whenever we hire it we are in a desperate battle to keep the chip in the truck and not all over the truck/street/house/neighbors house and garden.

Has anyone got an idea on how to mod the chute without damaging or drilling etc? as we have to take it back in the same condition.

Bungee a length of plastic pipe to the chute to get it a bit closer to the truck more accurately.

Bungee a tarp/piece of tight mesh between the front top of the chipbox and the chute, creating a tent.

Disconnect it, put the chipper sideways with the shute nearly in the chipbox.

What truck and chipbox combo?

Ford transit tipper, and cage sides with ply, bed tipped to various angles.

I wondered if the chute could be added to to funnel the chip into a jet rather than a spray?

I think Dean Lofthouse simply extended his shoot, about 1m long(?) If you hire it a lot you could make/have made a new shoot to bolt on/off. Just a bit of folded metal.
