Hi all can anyone recommend a pub for a good meal near hexham (north of)? Staying down there tomorrow night (30th) and looking for somewhere for some good pub grub.

The crown in humshaugh ,the rat inn at Anick.

More west of hexham the general havelock.

Or if you like a good curry the saathi in hexham itself.

There's a few to avoid but on a whole most are pretty good.

Keep sticking ideas up guys, if possible I'll update tomorrow with picture of pint and meal in front of me. (Technology allowing)

So far the crown at humshaugh is in the lead.

Really looking forward to seeing this area again, haven't been around there since I was at college in ponteland 25 years ago

Forgot The Pheasant.

It is good grub.

They wouldn't serve me chips there either when I last went, but it was 10.30pm and I wanted them to accompany 8 pints of Staropramen.
