We have used an axe for many years but a shoulder injury is making this hard. we need a powered wood splitter - petrol or electric - to split wood up to 60cm diameter max. Can anyone start us off? At a guess, we probably prepare and use about 15/18 cubic meters a year (which is a lot of axe swings).

If you want a recommendation for electric, Forest master FM 16 Bought one earlier in the year.

8 ton max splitting force. Two speed, adjustable ram travel. Returns while you are reaching for the next log. Wedge from either end so the easiest end splits. Anything I can lift on to it has split.

A lot quicker than you would think.
