They are wide for their size even with the non easy start recoil, and the handling suffers from it.

 

Inboard clutches are a bad idea, regarding the handling of saws. :wink:

 

its a good job there is an inboard clutch as it would run left hand side heavy but seeing the bar is on the outside all is good :thumbup::thumbup:

 

and its easier to change the sprocket rims when these power houses rip the rims to shreds:lol::lol::lol:

Well, of course it is better for the handling to have the bar and chain as close to the centre of gravity as possible - which means an outboard clutch/inboard sprocket. :001_smile:

 

 

So out of interest, why do husky use an inboard on the 362xp, 365, 372xp, 576xp, 385xp and 390xp? All of which are more chuck-able than the 394/5xp and arguably the 357xp (I prefer the feel of the 362 over the 357). No other manufacturers use an outboard nowadays.
