A new weed killer I mentioned on a previous thread that is supposed to be excellent as a pre-emergent and as an early emergent. Can be mixed with Glyphos to make an all round weed killer to deal with established weeds also.

50 gramms + £76.80 at that money I expected a transit van to deliver it in a 40 gallon drum, even Sammy the Springer Spaniel couldn't believe it:001_smile:

5g will mix up 20 litres

Blimey, coke must be pricey up your way Dave, I'm sure in Manchester you can get it delivered to your door in about ten minutes for much less than that. Of course its mostly talcum powder and washing powder but its the thought that counts! :001_smile:

As I keep telling our Lass, it's quality not quantity that we should strive for :001_smile:

That stuff's best applied in late winter or early spring for any residual effect, and it says in the label that "CHIKARA Weed Control has limited post-emergence activity." I think you'd be wasting it if you applied it now.

Also, it doesn't always follow that "grass friendly" herbicides are less effective on broad leaved weeds. If thistles are your main problem, one of the most effective herbicides I've ever used on that sort of weed will hardly touch grass.

Kerb is a good residual herbicide to use.....

I use it alot with glyphosate for chemical weeding around tree shelters..

May be worth mentioning that the use of Kerb has now been banned for use on FSC certified sites as of this week! But still fine to use anywhere else.

try these guys CSC Crop Protection Ltd :: Home

we use CSC alot for all our pesticides.... they have a branch near us called sprayrite.

Take care with the chikara... easy to over-dose especially if you are mixing it knapsack by knapsack.
