A terrible incident indeed. If someone didn't do there job to cordon the area off... But then as we know, members of the public tend to ignore these things a lot of the time and just wander through.

We may find out what happened after the investigation.

RIP.

if someone walks around or approaches a tree that is falling or fallen then they needed removing from the gene pool anyway.

the cops should not have let here get near i grant you but if you put yourself in harms way you are asking for it.

But she may not of known she was in harms way

I've personally done plenty of tree work in Kensington over the years, including Kensington Road where this incident occurred. We would have men on the ground, signs out and the whole work site cordoned off. Still people would continuously step over and into the site even when we were pollarding Plane trees and stuff was raining to the ground. We had a teacher crocodile walking a load of kids attempting to hold the tape up so kids could walk under. When confronted she said 'it was too dangerous to cross the road':confused1:

We can not legislate for idiots although I do not know the exact details of this sad incident.
