So I have got a new ford ranger and the tyres in it arnt the greatest for mud to out it that way. Size currently are 265 x65 x17r

I want to put for bf Goodrich mud km2 on it but the closest sizes I have a choice to are either 265 x70 x 17r or a 245x70x17r

If I put the 265x70x17 on short of making it a tiny bit difference is speedo ( 30 will become 31) should I be alright with clearance? Anyone with a new ranger help me n this please ?

You will lose 2.5 mm of clearance wont you. Which should not be a problem.

And very very slightly gear the truck up like you said.

Is there a ford ranger forum to ask on?

I would check your warranty before you do though as they may try and fall back on "modifications" to get out of any repairs!(working transmission etc harder than intended)

I have put 265/70r17 on my new shape ranger, no problems with clearance on full lock, a very slight increase in ground clearance, and I reckon the speedo is more accurate as I always felt it read a bit faster than you where doing on the old tyres, with the new tyres checking using sat nav, and gps speedo on phone, its still reading a bit fast, but better than before. I can live with that.

On a side note, I have just had a new replacement tacho fitted and calibrated in my truck so used that as a bench mark to check the accuracy of the sat nav and gps speedo on phone.

Cheers guys and Craig that was exactly what I wanted to hear before I bought some as unfortunately try before you buy isn't on offer with tyres haha. Wanted to check Cleanrance was all good was my main thing,

What's the difference between the old cooper stt? I just googled it but couldn't see any difference.
