You thinking patch up job?

 

Thing is, the original steel sheets wrap around the body, the wheel arches are then welded onto it (partly) as are the hinges for the drop sides plus the tie points. Makes me wonder if it's structural? If so that may rule out cutting the old one out from the inside..

Like to hear from anyone who's 'bobbed' a new one on :biggrin:

 

A new floor is a simple but messy job, its what the removal of the floor plate reveals that can be the real problem.

 

Without exception there will be some rot in the bearers, it all depends on how bad they are.

 

A new bed is often a better option particularly if you intend keeping the vehicle
