I chopped a chute for Keith Mills at Portion years back, he said it worked fine, just ditched a wedge out of the side wall and bent her down then fish plates added for strength. Job's a goodun!

Pete,

Why is the success of the Quadchip design not being followed up and used for a larger version?

Are there some constraints with the conception or is G.M keeping it's powder dry for now, ready to blow competitors out of the water in the future...?

Keeping powder dry? Maybe, maybe.....

Bringing a totally new product through conception, development, birth and delivery takes a long time - especially when there is so many other things being considered for the world wide market. GreenMech is Europe's largest manufacturer of woodchippers with a broad range of machinery and a huge supply chain to consider and keep in order before we start doing other things!

A load of reasons Mr Lawrence! Getting a suitable trailer underneath it, positioning a suitable ring, fitting a different indeed chute, getting it homolageted, pricing it right and then trying to slot it into a very busy production schedule. Plus, the drawing office and the development people still have other things ongoing.

One thing which is taking up a stack of time and money is parts supply and delivery to all of our worldwide clients and dealers too! We have been organising a 247 online parts ordering system so that our dealers are able to order, day or night, parts for the current range. The next battle is to get them to use it!
