Took remains of outside straw stack down last week

Shot 4 with 12 bore

Only had 8 shot clay cartridges at 28 grams and each one took 2 to kill

They couldn't go anywhere as was at back of concrete silage pit

At one point had 3 running about at various stages of death!!

Hi nick there's loads around mate thanks Jon

I'm my younger days knocking around with a keeper we looked after a few shoots had a rat on a drive 15 m away the shot cut him in half and the front part ran off the image will never leave me . Don't know if I could raise a gun to shoot anything now.

Apart from the odd thief of cause :sneaky2:

HI LGW YOU MAKE ME :lol::lol:thanks jon

I shot one with a 7.5 shot 28g cartridge a month or so ago. Cut it in half!

Rather gruesome as in other post but it wasn't trying to run off.

Can't beat a bit of ratting, I like my hunting done it most my life, My new dogs a Nutall Patterdale got him trained well for only 6 months.

building a rat smoker at the moment like the infamous ones on YouTube but my design goes a bit further incorporating brake fluid and baby oil, just waiting for a few parts to come.

Keep you posted haha

We dont seem to have had such a rat problem like last year (hundreds), used loads of poison, had to keep changing types so they did nt get used to same one. Have noticed a stoat in ermine down the farm, perhaps he is doing the job for me. The border likes a good ratting session but he is no where as good as a cairn terrier i had donkeys years ago. The lurcher was good for digging, if left to her own devices, the craters she would create in the garden
