Does this setup look acceptable or am I being stupid? I find on long accents that the pulling down and self tending can b tiring etc, with this you can jus pull down on your rope and up you go...

Make sure you can reach the links so you can descend in a hurry should you need to. You don't want the tea going cold before you get down.

 

Looks fine other than that. Thought you had a pantin though? Much easier than pulling down with your arms!

I can jus about reach the links, mite need a shorter length of cord tho.

I do have a pantin your right, don't always use it tho if I can utilise the trunk. :-)

Any decent climb it's on my foot, I forget it's there, until I'm facing a fair haul and then I'm glad of it

I use a similar set up for ascending, once at the top I ditch the strap & connect straight on to the zz as I find moving around the crown easier with the device close

My pantin is one of the first things outta the bag.

 

As for the OP, looks fine to me just a little long, but that has been pointed out.

Gray git uses similar...I prefer without...just short quick hand over hand with help of a pantin.

Yip works for me, keen to try a pantin- hass combo on ddrt with the zigzag, just walking up the rope arms only for balance.
