Well people I only process my arb waste as firewood and never buy in timber . This pays for my yard rent to run my tree work business from and a couple or so holidays away with my other half per year . The dilema Im facing is all the waste we cut is done with an 034 chainsaw mainly and then an axe . Although we use our 13ton splitter for the big ugly pieces and billet making even though its max length is only 3 .5 ft long . Log saw to buy or not to buy . Pros and cons based on the above stats please . Me personally I want to just buy one . It would be nice to see your take on this . Regards Paul

All waste below 4" is chipped :001_smile:

Saw bench over chainsaw every time mate.

Saw bench without a doubt. I find it a lot more comfortable to use than a chainsaw for long periods of time when logging up as well as being quite a bit faster cutting. No chain sharpening is nice too. I only wish I had got mine sooner.

I posted this the other day about my Balfor

we have a ryetec and its so much faster and safer than a chainsaw and as takes a lot less maintenance. I did go for the conveyor option which further reduces the load on your back but more than doubles the price
