It must be really badly worn or broken/cracked to fail, surely??.

Ok so straight out the box the bottom link hits the main body and starts to wear away at the main body causing burs petzl says just file these burs down loler examiner say they are stress raisers and how far can you file down before its too much hense fail,im also concerned about overtime impact fractutres

I think you should not have to be taking a file to a piece of climbing equipment ...a chainsaw bar yes but not this ...
