£120 level Transit back (100 cubic feet give or take). Seasoned hardwood.

 

Any requests for extra small logs will incurr severe financial penalties!

We put our prices up last year.Regular customers did have a bit of a moan,lost a couple.Prob going t leave them this year.The delivery relating to postcode helps alot though log supplier.Suppose you can't please all of the people all of the time:001_cool:

£84 a cubic metre - 14 bags a metre - logs loose in bags - inc delivery and 5% VAT.

 

It's frightening but the orders a coming in now. Last season everyone ran short of bona fide firewood - I have a feeling this year is going to be a bloodbath. Christ knows what the price of delivered pulp will be this Winter.

 

The business answer may be for everyone to sell the same measurable load and as one triple the price. The multiples have sold wet crap for years for a very high price and people buy it.

Very hard to call..I get the feeling that a lot of people have had stoves put in to try and save money, so they'll burn the cheapest fuel they can. If the price of coal drops back to what it was, they might turn to that.

 

I think standing and roadside timber will shoot up initially. I know of one or two agent/consultants who seemed to have got caught napping last year, and were selling at quite reasonable prices well into last year's surge in demand. They'll want to claw something back this year, I'm sure.

im keeping my prices what they were last year...i want to sell it all asap as i can see theft being an issue this winter particularly
