This is a really good lecture about overuse injuries, covering issues like tendonitis, knee cartilage damage, stress fractures. It's 1 hour and 30 minuets long, watch it when you get chance.

Could you just précis it into a paragraph or two for us?

I've had tendonitus for 4 months in left shoulder blade. It's not a bad case of it. Forget it's there unless putting a t shirt or sweater on. Or reaching out or above shoulder then it nips bad.

In summary, overuse injuries eventually become acute injuries. Tendons don't like change, an increase in load or a decrease in load on the tendon can cause problems.

I have some more in-depth audio podcasts from Physioedge on tendonpathy. If anyone wants the links, they have interviews with the leading researchers in the field.

For shoulder issues, this is an very in-depth, and excellent lecture on shoulder impingement.
