Greene nipple come of 150 Dhb

Was doing my fortnightly feed roller greese and the bottom roller greese nipple came off in the greese gun head. Any advice for a complete mechanical muppet would be much appreciated

Is the thread stripped, is it wound out or has it broken off

I'm not sure as I can't get it out of the greese gun attatchment could have stripped don't think it's snapped but I could be wrong

Sounds like its snapped off . I get this trouble a lot on my tracked dumper. I find sticking a stihl screwdriver into it means you can usually remove the broken piece, then just screw in a new one.

Yes it should. You can also uno the snapped bit by using a small torx bit.

Keep an eye on it in case it pushes all the grease back out of the hole straight away - the little spring and ball in the top of the nipple acts as a one way valve to keep the grease in there.

I have been wondering what a greene nipple is all morning.

Thought they must be colour coded on modern machinery or summat
