I love the way in which you say 'I'm going to cut the chassis and stretch it by 2ft'; I wouldn't know where to start..... Much respect and look forward to seeing the work in progress :001_smile:

Just started converting our old Disco into a pickup, Going to cut the chassis and stretch it 2 feet so the rear axle is in the correct place.

 

HI ELF re 2ft on chassis how long will it be then 130 plus and what tipper are you going to use thanks jon :thumbup:

Does it count as a radically altered vehicle and need IVA testing under the DVLA guidelines ?

Thought about doing that a few years ago but put off by the crap pay load asthe gross weight is oly max out at 2750(i think). dont get me wrong it will still be a usefull tool. The way around that would have been to use a disco commercial as they are rated to 3500kg but you have already chopped yours up.
