Wolf Garten Tree anvil loppers

Evening all,

I'm in need of a pole tree lopper set up. It won't get a lot of use but was wondering if the Professional WG ones are worth the extra few pounds over the standard ones?

Any alternatives to Wolf Garten if there are better options for the same sort of money?

Corona long pole tree pruners £90 there abouts with life time guarantee. It extends to 14ft and is very strong.

Been using the pro loppers n pruning saw for three years now and they have been superb, still sharp n cut through hefty branches no probs. Use mine on a 4m pole. Bought them from World of Wolf web site, cheaper than the Wolf Garten site and often has offers on loppers and pole or saw n pole.

I've got a telescopic unit from fiscars, up86 I believe, fantastic bit of kit and very light weight. Very easy to take up and use in the tree too, it has saved me a lot of effort and time on reductions

Another vote for the fiskars up86 from me, lovely and light just don't cut anything huge with them!

gardenmac - top website that. Cheaper than Jonsie! Made my order as I've got the saw attachment already and a few other heads for the smaller hand tool range. Not worried about using it off the ground as I don't climb )

Another vote for the fiskars up86 from me, lovely and light just don't cut anything huge with them!

 

I've cut the max size of the jaws plenty of times but the little bit of string at the top did eventually snap, took it back and got a replacement on warranty, no questions asked and they gave me the broken set back so 1m of 3mm starter cord and a bit of fiddling to get it threaded correctly and I now have two sets haha, think the starter cord will be stronger than original but time will tell

Glad to be of help, I use mostly Wolf for gardening. Hope you ordered the rope tie as they are really handy at stopping the cord getting snagged up. I have two on the 4m pole and then simply swap em if using shorter pole. Enjoy.
