Lots but you'll be climbing for a few years less with the extra strain a prusick puts on your joints so longterm false economy IMO.

Agree with all comments about it shouldn't happen but I'll still be using mine every climb as ain't been to the osteopath once since changing to the zigzag to have my lower back sorted so with that saving I could have bought about 3 I'm the time.

Ian if you ain't tried it you need too but it's not something you can appreciate by 'having a quick go ' you gotta work it use it enjoy it then you'll not want to part with it.

That's what I progressed from which was definitely a step up from blakes or prusick but not as responsive or as predictable in changing weather conditions.

Zigzag in the wet is the same as the dry, believe me iv tried in rain that men should not have the work in, think silky has a good photo off that day too!

Also never have to dress a zigzag like a vt so can all be done 1 handed while balancing yourself with other without the feer of it slipping as you applied you wate.

so is my vt just it has to be spot on with the rope i never dress mine but like i say its a perfect setup for my rope. When i first used the vt i had to dress it until i had got the cord the right length
