Yes I'd say they do in a way. The meditation mentioned on here is mindfulness and single pointed awareness, so say when someone's turning a bowl or something they'll be in the zone and not thinking of a hundred things at once, I'd say that's pretty similar?

Brave postings on an open forum!! There is a fine line between stress and depression. We have had so much hassle in both work and life becoming homeless due to political scandals but continued in work living in a wooden cabin with support from close friends to follow the dream. (Some relatives are Social Workers/Doctors and said we are doing well and sane considering all been going on)

 

Interesting hobbies are good to relax and avoid too much coffee and booze.

 

A GSD makes a lifelong friend helps in bad times!

 

We all think it can never happen to us and should be willing to support those around us who feel depressed as it might prevent a needless death.
