Knowing the Parish councils in this area, they will be getting about 10 quotes together, if you want to run your company from an ethical point of view, then I'm sure there will be 9 others who wont. Ethics begin at home, putting food on the table for your family, paying mortgages and wages. But if you feel its morally wrong to carry out the work, look elsewhere. Its going to be a tough year.

keep my gob shut and take the money if the work is from a survey, if not i'll advise, if they take my advice good if not , not my problem.

Off topic but i've seen some pretty dumb things on so called consultants surveys, wound paint, 50% reductions etc.....Lots of surveyers are landscapers or a bod from a property managment company and have no arb quals or experience at all, and it makes me sick!

I would make it clear that I would do the work if they are going to get it done regardless, but then tell them my honest oppinion as to what work should be done.

Ditto we have this happen time after time after time with work for wildlife trusts and parish councils. Don't shoot yourself in the foot the may eventually come around to your way of thinking.
