Using mine all the time now after a year of it lying at the bottom of my bag . It's like a mini climbing system without the hassle of an extra full length rope . Small dia rope super light in hand

Please don't take this the wrong way but if you aim is to lose weight why make it easier?

 

Just climb with the hitch climber setup and forget the mechanical advantage. Your body will adapt to the technique and climbing will become easier.

Hi Rich. Very versatile mini climbing system.

Sadly the rope on mine got caught on some jagged metal when I was doing a Connie removal on a really messy job so all the remaining component parts got scattered into other bits of my kit. So even though it died it still lives on.

I'll post some pics next week.

Usually on a brand new lanyard that I've just spliced and stitched

 

My last one I picked a single strand (not cut) about halfway along. Had to go up the line of the rope with a penknife every turn to pull the strand straight again!
